Overview
Drawings, programmes, pricing and reporting — appointable on their own.
Not every appointment involves us building something. A meaningful part of our work is the engineering that happens on either side of construction: the drawings that let a tender be priced consistently, the programme that makes a deadline believable, the reporting that keeps a client informed, and the documentation that lets an asset be operated after handover.
Malanc Projects was founded partly to address the gap between engineering education and industrial application, and these services are the clearest expression of that. We produce CAD across HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process and instrumentation, write PLC logic, generate bills of quantities, build programmes and provide the reporting discipline that most projects lack.
Scope of works
What this covers.
Each item is work we self-perform or directly supervise.
- Engineering consulting and design advisory
- Independent technical input on feasibility, equipment selection, hydraulics and buildability before capital is committed.
- Computer-aided drawings
- CAD across HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process and instrumentation disciplines, including general arrangements and details.
- 2D and 3D HVAC drawings
- Coordinated duct and pipe layouts, plant room arrangements and sheet metal drawings.
- Sheet metal drawings
- Fabrication-ready sheet metal detailing for ducting, enclosures and specials.
- Tender drawings
- Drawing sets produced to tender standard so that every bidder prices the same scope and comparison is meaningful.
- Tender pricing assistance
- Rate build-ups, preliminaries and technical pricing support for contractors bidding specialist engineering work.
- Bills of quantities
- Measured bills generated from drawings so quantities are defensible and variations are traceable.
- Project programmes
- Works breakdown structures, resource plans and critical path programmes in standard planning formats.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting
- Site diaries, weekly progress reports and monthly reports with photographs, programme status, look-ahead and decision items.
- Engineering documentation
- As-built drawings, O&M manuals, data sheets, test records and complete handover packs.
- PLC programming
- Control logic for pump stations, treatment plant and building services, written, simulated and commissioned.
- Engineering project management
- One accountable project manager from tender through to the end of the defects liability period.
- Subcontracting services
- Complete mechanical, electrical or civil packages taken off a principal contractor's hands, with supervision and administration included.
- Engineering training
- Structured on-site development for graduate and technician-level staff, addressing the gap between qualification and site competence.
Benefits
Why it matters who does this work.
Drawings that can be built
Produced by a company that also installs, so buildability, access and tolerance are considered rather than discovered.
Programmes that hold
Built from real production rates and real lead times, with the critical path identified and float shown honestly.
Tenders that compare fairly
Tender drawing sets and bills that force every bidder to price the same scope, so the cheapest number is not simply the biggest omission.
Reporting you do not chase
Daily diaries, weekly progress and monthly reports issued on schedule as a contractual deliverable.
Handover packs that are complete
As-builts, O&M manuals, certificates and data sheets assembled during the project, not scrambled together at the end.
Available standalone
Every service here can be appointed on its own. There is no requirement to give us construction work as well.
Our process
How we deliver it.
Each stage produces something you can inspect, test or file.
Brief and information gathering
We establish what decision the deliverable has to support, and gather the drawings, survey and constraints needed to produce it.
Scope and fee agreement
A defined deliverable list, format and programme agreed in writing so there is no ambiguity about what you are receiving.
Production
Drawings, bills, programmes or documentation produced by engineers with site experience in the relevant discipline.
Internal review
Every deliverable is checked by a second person before issue. Drawings issued without review cost far more downstream than the review costs.
Sectors
Industries this serves.
The same discipline applied to different operating environments.

Questions
Frequently asked.
Yes, and many clients do. Design advisory, CAD, tender drawings, bills of quantities, programmes and project management are all available as standalone appointments with no construction commitment attached.
HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process and instrumentation, including 2D and 3D HVAC layouts and sheet metal detailing. Because we also fabricate and install, our drawings tend to account for access, tolerance and buildability rather than being geometrically correct but impractical.
We help contractors price specialist engineering elements they do not routinely self-perform — rate build-ups, preliminaries, plant and labour constants, and the technical assumptions behind them. You retain full control of your commercial strategy; we supply the engineering basis for the numbers.
Daily site diaries, weekly progress reports and monthly reports with photographs, programme status, look-ahead and outstanding decision items. We work to your template where you have one, and provide ours where you do not.
Yes. Structured on-site development for graduates and technicians, focused on the gap between qualification and site competence. Addressing that gap was part of the founding rationale for the company, and it remains something we take seriously.
