One appointment across civil, mechanical and electrical.

Water and sanitation is the core of what Malanc Projects does. It is also the sector where the split-contract model causes the most damage: a civil contractor builds a chamber, a mechanical contractor arrives to find the penetrations in the wrong place, and an electrical contractor arrives to find no cable route. Everyone is technically correct and the client pays for all of it.

We deliver water infrastructure with all three disciplines under one appointment. Pump houses, rising mains, reservoirs, reticulation, treatment process works and sanitation infrastructure — civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and telemetry coordinated by one project manager who is accountable for the whole thing working.

Complete stations from excavation and structure through mechanical and electrical fit-out to commissioning and telemetry.
Bulk water pipelines and rising mains
Steel, ductile iron, uPVC and HDPE mains laid, jointed, bedded, pressure tested and commissioned.
Water reticulation networks
Distribution reticulation, connections, valve and meter chambers, hydrants and air valve arrangements.
Water treatment process works
Process pipework, pressure filtration, dosing installations, clarifier and channel works, and associated mechanical equipment.
Reservoirs and storage
Reinforced concrete reservoirs and water-retaining structures, complete with inlet, outlet, scour, overflow and level instrumentation.
Sanitation and sewer infrastructure
Sewer pump stations, rising mains, gravity sewers and associated chambers and structures.
Package plant installation
Sectional steel tanks, package treatment plants and prefabricated stations installed, connected and commissioned.
Valve and chamber works
Valve chambers, penstocks, actuated valves and flow control arrangements built and function tested.
Telemetry and monitoring integration
Level, flow and pressure instrumentation with telemetry so remote assets are visible without a site visit.

Structures, chambers, pipelines and earthworks executed with the mechanical and electrical requirements built in.

Yes. That is one of our standard packages: excavation and civils, the structure itself, mechanical installation, motor control centre, instrumentation, telemetry, commissioning and handover. One appointment, one project manager, one party accountable when something does not work.

Yes, with planning. Tie-ins to live mains, temporary supplies, phased isolation and out-of-hours working are planned in advance and agreed with the client's operations team. We are explicit about how long a supply genuinely has to be off, because underestimating that damages trust and inconveniences residents.

Steel, ductile iron, uPVC, HDPE and GRP, jointed by the appropriate method — welded, flanged, socketed, electrofusion or butt fusion. Material selection is usually specified by the consulting engineer; where we advise, we consider ground conditions, pressure class, corrosion exposure and the practical realities of local repair.

Yes. Sewer pump stations, rising mains, gravity sewers and associated structures. Sanitation work carries its own health and safety requirements — confined space entry, gas monitoring and hygiene controls — which are planned into the method statement rather than handled informally.

Yes. We start with an honest condition assessment: what is actually wrong, what can be repaired, what has reached end of life, and what it will realistically cost to restore service. Sometimes the correct answer is a repair rather than a replacement, and we will say so.
